     Microsoft Word

Status Bar: a row at the bottom of a window that displays information about the window, as the status of a Web page load or details of an open document.

If you need more information, look at the status bar.

Ribbon:  designed to help you quickly find the commands that you need to complete a task. Commands are organized in logical groups, which are collected together under tabs. Each tab relates to a type of activity, such as writing or laying out a page. To reduce clutter, some tabs are shown only when needed.

It is easy to use the ribbon to find tabs.

Word wrap: a feature of word-processing systems and some electronic typewriters that automatically moves a word to a new line to avoid overrunning the margin.

Use the word wrap to go to a new line

Insertion point: in a computer graphics program, the point where the next character(s) typed will appear on the display

The insertion point will help guide you.

Print preview: lets you what the page would look like printed

To make sure the paper is long enough, look at the print preview.

Query Printing. a question mark (?), especially as added on amanuscript, proof sheet, or the like, indicating doubt as to somepoint in the text.

    They were on the Query.

    Field

site column is a reusable column definition, or template, that you can assign to multiple lists across multiple SharePoint sites. Site columns decrease rework and help you ensure consistency of metadata across sites and lists. For example, suppose you define a site column named Customer. Users can add that column to their lists, and reference it in their content types. This ensures that the column has the same attributes—at least to start with—wherever it appears. Much like site content types, you define a site column at the site level, independent of any actual list or content type.

She was in the search field.

    Database

A database is a tool for collecting and organizing information. Databases can store information about people, products, orders, or anything else. Many databases start as a list in a word-processing program or spreadsheet. As the list grows bigger, redundancies and inconsistencies begin to appear in the data. The data becomes hard to understand in list form, and there are limited ways of searching or pulling subsets of data out for review. Once these problems start to appear, it's a good idea to transfer the data to a database created by a database management system (DBMS), such as Office Access 2007.

The database was full of information.

    Filter

You can create filters within formulas, to restrict the values from the source data that are used in calculations. You do this by specifying a table as an input to the formula, and then defining a filter expression. The filter expression you provide is used to query the data and return only a subset of the source data. The filter is applied dynamically each time that you update the results of the formula, depending on the current context of your data. This section describes how to create filters within Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) formulas.

    Can you filter the search?

    Null

-without value, effect, consequence, or significance.

Electronics. a point of minimum signal reception, as on a radiodirection finder or other electronic meter.

    That is a null code.
